Long Tails, Ears For Hats....

Sat Sep 22, 2007, 12:18 AM
I just found out Josie and the Pussycats came out on DVD.
First reaction? I squeed like a little girl.
Then I went right to Amazon and put it on my wishlist to buy it next week.

First Darkwing Duck, then Animaniacs/Pinky and the Brain and now Josie and the Pussycats? Squeeeee! *does happy dance*
Now all I need is to find out that Freakazoid! and all four seasons of Kim Possible are coming to DVD and I'll have a fangirl orgasm.
Okay, I'm exaggerating.
...But not by much. :D

When I was a kid, it was a rare thing to see a show where the female leads weren't helpless waifs waiting for some guy to save them all the damn time (hell, it's rare now). The guys (Alan and Alex) on the show weren't sexist, "girls can't do that!" morons and they weren't made completely incompetent to make the girls look good, either. Alan was helpful and supportive and Alex may have been a chicken, but he wasn't completely useless.

Kim Possible shares some elements of Josie and the Pussycats, which is probably one of the reasons I love it so much.
Wait... It may be because it's late and my mind is tired, but it suddenly occurred to me that if you combine Alan and Alex, you pretty much get Ron Stoppable. :D Clearly, it's time for me to get some shuteye.

'Night, all. *waves*

It's pretty clear now that what looked like it might have been some kind of counterculture is, in reality, just the plain old chaos of undifferentiated weirdness.
Loved your take on Daria. [link]
